Time Trial Report July 2008 Well what can I say another club record broken by the same guy Paul Grindley. I have known Paul since the age of twelve and he showed how good he was then by getting on the G.B. junior squad. As happens he found girls and cycling took a lesser role, one wonders how he would have progressed if he had kept his cycling up. Many p.bs. this month as well so peoples winter training is paying off. The club 10 had a good night for a change with all rides above average. I do not have the 10 results at hand but Ray will put them in this circular. Now for some of the months times.

New members Ceri Jones 1st ever race a creditable 27.29 Phil Garton Pope son of member John Did a hell of a ride for his first 10. Phil is another mountain biker trying his hand at t.t.’s. Pete Turner a sportive rider, was more than pleased with his ride. Ray Myers club 10 report.

TIME TRIAL REPORT JUNE
Sorry about missing last months club 10 report, it is included along with this months report. Our open 25 was won by our own Dave Grindley backed up by Paul Washington and Mick Loughran to take the team award. Two of our boys rode the National 50, Mike Armstrong after all the trauma of his brothers accident [all our thoughts are with you mike] and Colin Hayes who managed to get under 2 hours, well done boys. Nice to see Keith Denny turning the pedals in anger for the first time in 25 years even though it looked as though he did not excert himself to much. Terry Giblin turned up for the club 10 astride a tandem with his workmate Ron who I think was handicapped by being blind [though you would not know it] to ride a respecful time. Now for the times.

June 2008
Lots of rides this month, some personal bests, weather mixed and winter training is starting to show. Club 25 record holder Paul Grindley has had a few weeks off and comes back with a bang and a win. Club Best allrounder Colin Hayes rode the Anfield 100 to finish in 7th place, now for the results.

Time Trial Report March 2008
Our first win of the season thanks to Paul Grindley carrying on the form from last season. Paul won the Birkenhead North End hilly 22 in the time of 48.06. To gauge the merit of his win he put 3 ½ minuites into the winner of the MLCA 10. His previous ride this season was third place in the MDTTA 10 with a time of 22.46. so keep it up Paul we are all proud of you.
Danny Stevens has been riding hilly events as well, in the Circuit of Pendle he did 1.17.51 and finishing 10th in the Wrekinsport hilly 18 with a time of 46.02. Colin Heyes Mid Shropshire 25 1.03.13 Colin Heyes + Neil Cooper Preston Whlrs 2up 25 1.00.55
Don’t forget the first club 10 on the 30th of this month, I will need the help of at least 3 marshals so if you ca help out please turn up on the night. Also can’t our testers get together organise yourselves into a team we have plenty of good riders so why not go for some team awards. Yours in sport ROB
